I am an NHS and private midwife, passionate about providing you the care that you need to support you through your pregnancy and the early postnatal period.

I provide personalised antenatal and postnatal support to help you feel informed, supported and confident, through pregnancy, going into labour and the first weeks at home with your baby.

Continuity of care - being supported by the same midwife over time - is a model proven to improve experiences and outcomes. It allows me to really get to know you, your preferences, and your circumstances and to tailor care accordingly.

More about Sofia.

I work both as a private midwife and an NHS midwife in London. For the past decade, my professional life has been dedicated to working across a wide range of maternity settings, supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal period.

I achieved a first class honours in Midwifery from City St George's, London, in 2019, and was awarded student midwife of the year. My training took place in London, where I worked in all areas of midwifery including labour ward, birth centre homebirths, postnatal ward and community. I specialised in community midwifery, running my own clinic and providing postnatal home visits. This is where I saw the true value of continuity of care - having time to build relationships, understand families' needs and provide support within people's communities.

After returning from maternity leave, I felt inspired to build a service that works alongside NHS maternity care, offering the additional time, continuity and personalised support that can sometimes be difficult to access in routine appointments. I am particularly passionate about helping families feel well supported beyond the immediate clinical care, whether that is through clear signposting to other trusted professionals or by helping partners and grandparents feel confident and involved.

Some nice words.

"When Sofia came to visit me at home on day 4 after my baby was born she gave me all the confidence and reassurance I needed. I felt like I had access to a lifeline as I learnt this enormous new skill."

Hannah, 2025

"When I first reached out for some postnatal support I wasn’t even sure I wanted to breastfeed. She didn’t just give me the confidence to try, she made me fall in love with it. What started as something I thought I would try for a month has turned into something I have loved for 8 months - all thanks to Sofia!"

Hannah, 2025

"She helped me establish the feeding relationship, improve my latch, guide me through pumping and timings, equipment questions, and all the smaller questions in between."

Hannah, 2025

"I also benefited from an antenatal consultation with my husband - it was so helpful for us to talk to an expert about what to expect in labour, and it all to be genuinely personalised to my wants and desires. I couldn’t thank her enough!"

Hannah, 2025
